Thanks for visiting our Walk page! If you've come this far, you probably already know that we've committed to participating in the 2003 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in San Francisco, to spending the next few months training and fundraising, and to walking for an entire weekend.
We're among thousands of people all over the country who will be doing this in 2003, all to raise funds for the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade and support their mission of providing access to care and finding a cure.
We are each required to raise a minimum of $1,750 to participate, but we would like to raise more! We can't do that without your help. In fact, we're going to need support from many people to reach our goals, and we're hoping that we can count on you to be part of our support team.

In just ten years, the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade has raised more than $250 million for the cause worldwide. That money goes to support medical research into the possible causes and cure, education and early detection programs, and clinical care and support services for women with breast cancer in communities across the country. There is a special focus on helping medically underserved women the poor, minorities, the elderly, or those with inadequate health insurance. And much of the money granted by the Foundation goes back to the communities where it was raised, supporting everything from local grassroots programs to national organizations.
Every three minutes, another woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks for helping us work toward changing that statistic.
